TxB
Does NodLogin or NodEnabler add any extra stuff to the system like to the registry, or is it confined to the folder it's in? Do they run as a service? I don't like extra stuff running and using memory 24/7, so I prefer something I can just start up myself when I need it and easily kill the process later. regy13
No start up in 9.9. But even in 9.7 when it had you could simply remove it with regedit. As far as I'm concerned 9.9 is restrained to its setup folder. I even have its schedules disabled and am planning to manually run it when each license expires. (This one has lasted almost 3 weeks so far without running nodlogin)

It's when they add tons of entries and don't fully remove them upon uninstall.

Crisis_Core
Hi guys ,Im trying to use the mara fix , but i can't for one simple reason : my trial is expired.. i guess this is due to the v3 i was usingbefore, this mean i cant go in setup or anything to disable self defense...Anyone have a solution for this?thanks
Mystique
Did you try to remove it completely from your system along with a registry sweep?Once you do that you should be able to do a fresh install.

shought
@mara-I just removed your fix, entered a username and password, rebooted, updated(the modules), removed the username and password, installed your fix and rebooted again and my trial days don't show, it also doesn't show 'Upgrade to full version', so it must still think it's the full version...I suppose this is caused by the commercial to trial conversion not working as it should, maybe you could have a look at this?@Shought, I have already explored this. During the converting process, you get a set of new virus signatures for the retail or trial. They are different from one another. The retail version doesn't display the trial days or the 'Upgrade to full version'. If you mixed them up, ESET will disable and turn red.How would would prevent this situation if they wanted to update the modules like shought did?Has it been confirmed that the modules update in Trial mode as well, but just take longer?I just noticed this morning mara-, I spoke to soon :)There's a difference between the modules for the trial and the full version, in the time my license was trial but the module was full ESET wasn't red, so that's good. After that(this morning) ESET downloaded the trial modules and they were dated the same(the Antivirus and antispyware module were even later!) as the full version modules, but as said before it took longer to download them. After I downloaded them the 'Upgrade to full version' thingy showed and my trial(31) was shown as well.sorry to bother again, but is normal with marsufix, that the remaning days are going down till 28?With v3 and marsufix they always stayed between 30-31, thats why i am asking!ThanksYes, it's normal...In V3 sometimes they dropped to 27, I guess you just didn't pay enough attention  :win:But I strongly recommend you to use the mara-fix at the moment, it's (in my opinion) the best so far

mara-
New version of my fix is here, v1.4. Changes:- Removed old Eset servers (I forgot to remove old servers, installing new version of the fix is recommended but not required)- Solved problem with two reboots on Vista when this fix offers you to enable Self-Defense and user clicked 'Yes' (only once reboot is required now)- Added Self-Defense check on every reboot (on every reboot it will be checked if self-defense is enabled, if yes entry in scheduler will be deactivated since it can not work with self-defense enabled, and if self-defense is disabled this entry will be automatically activated, thanks to shought for nice idea.)This should be last version of my fix, except if Eset changes something with new version or if shought gives me some new ideas. :DExcellent work ;) Since your are asking for ideas haha.... what about if it were possible to avoid a false positive in your fix, it would be the tip of the iceberg :dance2:Maybe you could change Auto it for another package system.Fix will add automatically itself to exclude list, you only need to disable Eset before downloading and installing.Well done @mara ! With explanations included during the installation...ABSOLUTELY PERFECT !! ------------------------------cheers... :king: JofreI'm glad that you like the fix.ESS 4.0.314.0 french, on XP pro SP3 FRthe latest Mara-fix 1.4 give me an error, and ESS crash and can't load after that.i apply the fix to remove the old, then apply the fix again, ok, then when i choose self defence to stay off, the error "erreur de communication avec le noyau" appear, and ESS crash, and give the same error if i try to restart it.removing the fix, and applying the Mara-fix 1.3 work without problem (like 1.1 before it)i will continue to use version 1.3 , it work great, since i really don't reboot often, unless force...You found a bug in fix. box
BOX Eset 4 Trial Reset 2.01A :P You all can stop searching for the best trial reset and use this one already. This is not your daddy's crack. See my signature on how to download. This crack is for ESET Smart Security 4 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4. It just resets the trial period every time you start your computer with FULL "Self-defense" enabled. It also gives you the option to enable a schedule reset that will automatically reset ESET twice a day with "Self-defense" file protection enabled. It was tested using version 4.0.314 on WinXP (x86/x64) & Vista (x86/x64). Features:a service Start up (less than 2 seconds) trial reset with 100% Self-defense (first to crack).a schedule reset with Self-defense (file protection) enabled (first to crack).Convert retail to trial automatically.Insert the eval servers by ESET automatically.Add and Update the eval servers in the drop-down list automatically by ESET.One file does it all.Add itself in the exclude list.Tested on XP (x86 & x64) and Vista (x86 & x64).Fix will self-recover (as long as you don't move, rename, or delete the file).Auto add into the exclude listWhat it doesn't do?Fix ESET eval servers so you can update timely and properly.Convert the trial to retail by inserting a valid U/PFix the really bad "Self-defense"Installation:1. Install ESET. (If already installed then skip to step 2.) 2. Execute the crack and follow the on screen instructions.3. After installation, Disable the "Self-defense and restart the computer, then Enable the "Self-defense and restart the computer, and update ESET. 4. To uninstall, just disable the "Self-defense, restart the computer, execute the crack, and enable the Self-defense. NOTE 1: To Disable (or Enable) the Self-defense, open ESET, press keyboard <F5>, select <Antivirus and antispyware>, UNCHECK (or CHECK) the <Enable Self-defense>, <OK>, and <OK>. NOTE 2: If you install the Schedule Reset (optional) and later decided to disable / enable it in the ESET Scheduler, you must then Disable the Self-defense/RESTART/Enable the Self-defense/RESTART the computer before it can be active. This is the way Self-defense works.NOTE 3: If you want to make your own schedule, then you need to [Add] your own in the Scheduler. NOTE 4: To check if the Scheduler Reset works with "Self-defense", just execute it.BOXDuring my time spent cracking ESET, I accidentally deleted one of ESET's file. The accident was a tragic oversight on my part. It will never happen again.
shought
Sigh, box, mara-, you two obviously are the masters, can you put your heads together and make one fix? :king:Because now I really can't see the difference between the fixes, lol.I'm going to update mara-'s fix on the frontpage in a minute, but I'm in doubt if I should add yours, I appreciate what you've done and I respect you, but I think it'll make it harder to choose for our novice frontpage visitors.I'll have to think about this :Pps what do you mean with 'Fix will self-recover'?I'll have to try yours before I start asking a lot of questions.
