metabeta
Start Menu X 4.76Start Menu X is a replacement of the system menu for professionals. Power users are a lot more demanding, and it's not surprising - instead of a petty dozen of programs we have hundreds! This means that we need a solution developed by professionals for professionals. Find out how to find and launch programs without scrolling, extra clicks and moves - this is Start Menu X. Get it now - virtual groups, one-click program launches, timers.Download page:http://giveaway.glarysoft.com/startmenux4.76-203/
Archimede
Thanks metabeta :)Please note that on the homepage (http://www.startmenux.com/index.html) this app is listed as freeware.Strangely, if you download the GlarySoft giveaway, there is a serialIf anybody discovers any differences between the 2 version, please report here :)Cheers_________________________________________After unwrapping the GlarySoft giveaway I can say that the installer of the Pro version (13370 KB) is much larger than the one of the free edition (4748 KB) available on the homepage... There must be something different ;)

Archimede
I fear that it is installation-day-sensitive since during installation (of the unwrapped installer) the serial has to be entered and an active Internet connection is required to authorize that serial. This is my workaround (please note that YMMV):Run the Glary installer (offline)When the prompt to continue the installation shows up, go to your Temp folder (hidden system files must be made visible)There you will find a Glarysoft folder with inside the Pro installer (.exe file) store it somewhere safeClose out of the Glary installer prompt (without starting the installation)Install (using the Pro installer) and activate it (online) with the provided serialClose the app (also from the system tray)Copy the complete install dir (and keep it somewhere safe)Go to Application Data for All Users (in XP is in: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\)Copy the "StartMenuX" folder (which contains the offline registration in the "key.ini" file) and keep it somewhere safeWhenever you want to reuse the install dir (regardless of the date) just paste the "StartMenuX" folder in the exact same location where you found it (All Users\Application Data), run "StartMenuX.exe" and you are up and running... Fully registered ;)
SnakeMasteR
The serial will be checked online, the key.ini will be created later and is not important for the installer, the entry that let's you use the installer without re-validating the serial online is in the Registry. So the installer checks the Registry, if that entry is there, if not, it connects for validation. ;) The key.ini will be read from the program itself and that makes it PRO. Registry value and key.ini content is the same.[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ordinarysoft\Start Menu X]"NewRegKey"="somestring" PROStart Menu X PROBenefits:Single-click launch!Assign a primary program to any folder and start it simply by clicking this folder.Change the structure and add tabs.Manage the Virtual GroupsSort files by nameFree minor 4.x updatesThe most important is that you will facilitate further development of the project.http://startmenux.com/registration.html Helphttp://startmenux.com/help/ Downloadhttp://www1.datafilehost.com/d/5c103c4cOrdinarySoft.Start.Menu.X.PRO.v4.76.Multilingual.Giveaway-Glarysoft-Wrapper removed-Activation included (official and manually)-Read ReadMe.txt for instructionsother mirrorhttp://ge.tt/609Co7f/v/0?cNote: Release might be updatable in the future for higher version numbers, get the PRO setup, import the registry file and then install. Fully registered ;)I tried that, copied the StartMenuX present in C:\ProgramData i got the setup file from the Glarysoft installer, so when i run the program and i copy the StartMenuX to C:\ProgramData with the internet connection off, it will still ask for internet connection, to activate. The StartMenuX folder contains the key.ini and startmenu.txt but that alone will not offline activate the program, i am using Win7 and its not working man.The serial will be checked online, the key.ini will be created later and is not important for the installer, the entry that let's you use the installer without re-validating the serial online is in the Registry. Archimede
@ metabeta:When I wrote "This is my workaround (please note that YMMV)" the acronym YMMV means "Your Mileage May Vary", then I also wrote "n0_risk! has posted a better solution" so I assume you understood that my workaround worked fine for me (on XP) but that is no guarantee that it may work on your (Win7) system. All clear now, I hope ;)
