Just got a Customer who wants to reformat his Windows 7 with Windows 8 - I'm downloading the Mobility (x64) for his laptop.

x64 and x32 comes in same package..get me the INFs, please.

Both the drivers (Desktop & Mobility) which I downloaded are purely x64-bit:-

If any of you guys have a close reach to AMD forums, please report this issue for me. I have reported this two times with no response till now.

Can you guys include direct download links to the driver in stead of having to go through the verification tool because many laptops fail the verification tool and have to rely on the vendor to update the driver (which never happens)

Are you referring to the auto detect download option? Because I don't get any verification tool involved when clicking direct download link: 8TylMrF.png.

Wonder if these drivers contain yours.

Wonder if these drivers contain yours.

These are desktop driver, not mobility ones.

Tried them. They detects my 5145 card as 4570.

What's the method that you use to conclude that your card is 5145?

I know all about my card. There are a lots of method to conclude that but the most convenient one is to google the hardware ID.

PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9553&SUBSYS_9071104D&REV_00
And MR HD 5145 is higher clocked version of MR HD 4570. That's why the driver detector detects is as 4570.

There's a valid reason for asking (I don't wanna know the hundreds of different ways) - just the method you used to arrive at the figure 5145 (not possible to assist unless we know that basic data.)

Simply . . . . . . . . . how you arrived at the figure of 5145 - what method did you employ?

It was in my notebook's specification. And, then I looked at the device manger. After that I ran 'dxdiag' and verified that it is MR HD 5145

Good, now just run the following command using an elevated Command Prompt:-

WMIC CsProduct Get Name, IdentifyingNumber

Report back the answer - exactly!!!

Download and run the following file - it will deliver all custom drivers (not just the display driver) tailor-made for your particular model (not brand):-

http://download.sony-asia.com.edgesuite.net/vaio/downloads/540329/EP0000283115.exe

Well, I know vaio doesn't allow any custom driver to get installed in their systems but how will you install a driver that the manufacturer has stopped supporting the particular hardware? This tool may remove the restriction but how will it add the entry "5145" to the INF file?

Can you provide me the link from where you have got this utility?
