If you would like to remove the new tab page (change it to about:blank)

Change New Tab Page To About Blank1. Load chrome.dll into Resource Hacker2. Use Ctrl+F to find the text:It's important that this be the first script loaded3. Insert following line above the first <script> tag:<script>window.location = 'about:blank';</script>This forces an immediate redirect and ignores the remainder of the new tab resource.4. Click Compile, then File>Save.

I don't want the about blank, I want the one with the "speeddial" with six larger thumbnail, it has been changed to only 3 small one and a giant google search....

Don’t like Chrome’s new tab page? Change back to the old!

  • Type chrome://flags into the browser's address bar and hit the enter key on the keyboard.
  • Tap on F3 to open the on page find box and paste Enable Instant extended API in to the box.
  • The only search result highlights that the feature is enabled by default.
  • To disable it, switch the menu to disabled.
  • Click on the relaunch button that appears once you do so.
When you open a new tab page now in Chrome you are greeted by the old tab page again in the web browser.

I would like to thank you but it doesn't seem to work. I have tried standard, disabled and enabled and restarting chrome after any change but I either get the new page or a page with only 4 small thumbnails :(

edit:okay I changed language from dutch to english and now it works
