So i was doing my routine work on my Laptop , when suddenly my eyes caught this wonder . . ..

The ' Yellow triangle with the exclamation mark in it ', over the Network Icon in system tray .

So according to it , my net connection is/was not working ,

but ironically it is in fact perfectly fine ! :P

I have been using it the whole day and it did not get disconnect even once !

So dont know for how long has it been like this , but for the past 2 hours its stable at this state !

:P

Yellow triangle with exclamation you say? Did you try troubleshooting the network from tray? Just to see if it finds anything is wrong. :)

I've seen this happening for a short spurt of time - with both Windows 7 and Windows 8, as well.

Windows is notorious for -- " Troubleshoot a working thing and thus break the working thing and in addition invite more troubles ! "

So i guess , i ll keep it this way ! :P

@ majithia

Seen it probably thrice or 4 times - gets reset to normal once you restart the Explorer.

Do note, how does Windows know internet is working or not? From what I know, it regularly pings Microsoft to check the network (which some people think, is stealing data :P ). Now, with that, Windows might not be able to contact Windows' desired address, hence, the icon.

This has happened to me a couple of times, and the troubleshooter has found problems in both. Both the times the problems weren't noticed by me (but were real problems).

Is the [10] Guy meme (also known as “Really High Guy” and “Stoner Stanley”).
