TheAslan
So what this hotfix does it that it will "Improve USB Storage Devices Performance" and it "Changes the Maximum TransferLength in the registry." Though it's not recommended using this if you have a wireless mouse and/or keyboard.Does this really improve USB devices performance? I don't have wireless mouse nor keyboard so I could use this hotfix.Hotfix is located here:http://thehotfixshare.net/board/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=13020
Maka
That's not what this hotfix does. Here's the official link.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2496290
RobrPatty
Neither one is correct. The correct update is: KB2581464http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2581464
stylemessiah
If you absolutely must increase your chances of file corruption then install this.If it was 100% safe it would be a mandatory (critical) update.....instead its a hotfix.....that should tell you all you need to know. But there are people out there who like to measure boring specs of hardware speeds who probably will jump on this...but i have a life....
