I think it is this:
www%s....com/fillregform.html?d=.....com/autoreg.html?d=....IDwnlMgr....idmreg://

if you replace %s with internetdownloadmanager see what happen:

www.internetdownloadmanager.com/fillregform.html?d=
www.internetdownloadmanager.com/autoreg.html?d=

and so on... with idm is started and not patched and without idm run

other sites write more urls to block as needed so that idm help sites not more work

http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/support/updateblocked.html

Testing this quick made patcher based on the pattern of casanova/iOTA
+ removes reg/license check

P1C5w3H.jpg

or must it be only remove online license check to see if these blacklisted numbers work again???:

http://pastebin.com/vEfXiQj5

Before running the Patcher close IDM!

Now IDM asks for reboot, at least if you have a previous version installed. Also the medicine that I use from iOTA for long time is not working anymore. I hope to find another that still working.

try this, it works on me :)

it's absolute normal it comes from the setup installer. If the file is in use and can not be replaced, it writes an entry in runonce and with a reboot it replace the file.

Hello R3C0N, thanks for your help.

About the IDM installer asking for reboot, it's the first time it happened. I always upgrade my IDM installing over the previous versions and never asked for reboot. When it's installing, it automatically closes IDM.exe so there's no way to it be trying to replace a file in use, so no need to reboot. I guess it's something else that the new installer is looking for now. Anyways, not a problem, it's all good :)

@rach: Thank you for the suggestion :)

@november_ra1n

I followed your instruction in the text file to install IDM. However, I keep getting "fake serial" pop-up Windows. So, how did it go wrong?

Thank you for your help. :)

I do not have the occasion to test any of the patches, KeyGens, etc., etc as I would feel stupid looking into the mirror (my IDM works without being cracked - it has been permanently . . . . . . . . . . . fixed.) It will never stop working.

Alright, send me the hosts to block.

01.) Ensure the attribute of the existing hosts file is not Read-only

02.) Add the following IDM entries

03.) After saving the hosts file - change it's attribute to Read-only

What about registration? After entering the entries in the hosts file, will IDM get automatically registered?

That's just a one-time process, the first time - after editing the hosts file, use any serial from the KeyGen (just once) >>----> bang, it's done!!!

After that, one never has to fix IDM, again - just use the new full offline installer and install over the existing (older) installation.

How I wish we had faster internet speeds so that we won't need these stupid download accelerators in this day and age to max out a few kbps here and there :(

2 Mbps net sucks big time :mad2:

Nice. Can you get me a non-blacklisted key?

Firefox 20's built in downloader feels quite appealing. If the resume capability were supported by it, that will be awesome. What do you think, in future, won't they do that?

The beauty of the hosts method is that it forces IDM to accept and validate even blacklisted keys. ;)

Unfortunately, Firefox will never be able to match the downloading capabilities of a standalone download manager like IDM (the resume function is just a trivial aspect - there are other far more important features.) :nono:
