Intel HD Graphics is next-generation graphics technology in 3rd and 2nd generation Intel Core processors. Intel HD Graphics integrates high-performance graphics and media processing right on the processor, putting the two key gaming components CPU processing and graphics together on a single chip. The integrated graphics chips are built on a 45 nm process and are much more power efficient than previous generation GMA cores. This Intel HD Graphics driver is for 2nd Generation Intel Core Processors with Intel HD Graphics 3000/2000 and for 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors with Intel HD Graphics 4000/2500.

Thanks to thylacine for the update.

Note: This update is only for 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors with Intel HD Graphics 4000/2500

I'm sad to report that I cannot use this driver kit on my ASUS N56VZ Series laptop... it makes the Desktop Windows Manager component crash on Windows 7, therefore you cannot use Aero w/o this being active.

Its a bugged kit, use at own risk!

Thank you very much, LiLmEgZ, I also have ASUS N56VZ. Thanks for testing and confirming that this won't work for N56VZ.

Please keep in mind, Intel generics video drivers always isn't meant for any laptop ;) It gets worse with dual graphics like the Nvidia Optimus. Always use the official drivers from the manufacture if you're using a laptop.

I can confirm that the version 9.17.10.2932 (last issued driver from 2012) works flawless on my ASUS N56VZ laptop.

I got the 9.17.10.2932 driver kit file if you guys need that for certain machines :)

Send a PM if you need the file!

Nice that you posted those... I just offered them incase they weren't avail via Intel's site anymore (usually this happens when new drivers get issued by most companies)... so I thought I would throw it out there that I got that package just incase of the event!

The December 2012 kit works pretty good... no problems for me!
