In November, the budget priced Nokia Lumia 510, running on Windows Phone 7.5, made its international debut in India. Now Microsoft is claiming that Windows Phone is doing very well in that part of the world.A post on Microsoft's MSDN India Twitter account claims that Windows Phone is "now the number 2 OS in India". That's all the information we have at the moment, and we have emailed Microsoft to see if they can elaborate on that claim. The statement was made during Microsoft's TechEd conference in India this weekend.Another post from the same Microsoft MSDN India Twitter feed claims that there are now 15,000 Windows Phone apps that were made in India, out of the 130,000 apps that are currently in the Windows Phone Store.If Microsoft's claim about Windows Phone sales in India is indeed true, it means that the company will also see an overall rise in its market share compared to Android and iOS.
