Which antivirus/internet security is best in 2013?

Is it true that Norton 360/IS 2013 is this year winner, and if not which one is truly THE BEST?

I would not put Norton on my computer if you paid me to. First of all It depends if you are pretty well educated with the workings of your computer. Then the workings of what an antivirus, firewall, anti-spyware, anti-malware, spam protection, parental controls etc. Then decide if you want a program to set and forget it. I know you probably have heard that many of times, I have often before hand have said it. But it is not true. You have always got to be aware of what is happening with and on your computer. Bitdefender has auto pilot mode, I just gave away a yr sub to my daughter for her new computer so she could get Norton off it. But I myself would not put it on my computer. If you want something decent and can make decisions about what to allow and not allow, You might want to try things separate. I have used Private firewall running along side a free antivirus which are not very good anymore, so you will need something like Super Antispyware Pro. You could go with Microsoft essentials, Private firewall, SAS Pro, use malware bytes as on demand scanner, Buy Win Patrol to monitor, if you do that you could go with SAS Free edition. Try to find an Anti-logger, I use Zemana Professional. If you do not want to use Microsoft as the free antivirus, and you decide to go with a paid version of Internet Security. I use PC Tools. in Comprehensive settings, and other settings for strong security, running along side mamutu That I won, Win patrol Pro That I Bought on special for .99 cents, and Zemana Antilogger on a give away. I use Malware-Bytes s a on demand scanner about once a week and pretty much have no problems. Nothing is 100 percent safe. If you do go with a free antivirus, and do not want Microsoft, Avast was ok, But With all the crap with it now, I would go with Avira free. I personally do not like Zonealarm, Comodo, or any other free firewalls, if you are not doing anything risky, windows seven firewall can be just as good. Just set to defaults and uncheck remote access. Too many IS have too much junk that eats your CPU and Memory and can drag your system down. Ask around here and read all advice then, YOU make the decision, and don't believe everything that is written on other sites about security. The people here will be your best advice.
