jalaffa
Microsoft Windows have already built-in default, free and powerful firewalls, but unfortunately, they lack a simple interface to define own simple rules and can be difficult sometimes to configure them the right way. Windows Firewall Control is a nifty little application which extends the functionality of the Windows Firewall and provides quick access to the most frequent options of Windows Firewall. It runs in the system tray and allows user to control the native firewall easily without having to waste time by navigating to the specific part of the firewall. Windows Firewall Control offers four filtering modes which can be switched with just a mouse click. WFC is free to use, registered users will get the advantage of learning mode which provides notifications for outgoing blocked connections. xpmule
author didn't update the changelog *yet anyway.and all i can say about cracking software is who decides which ones are acceptable to crack and not ?and who are the hypocrites with cracked programs on their machine lecturing people to buy XYZ program ?I support file sharing and all that with out any kind of hypocritical exceptions. As far as i'm concerned there is no reason to think using pirated stuff from one guy is ok and not another..Your either for it or your against it !This sitting on the fence and picking and choosing crap is just dumb. And i also am not gonna lecture people on where and how to spend their money..If people want to they will other wise they won't.. the world keeps spinning. In other words file sharing and crackers etc etc.. are not going anywhere. It's here to stay
Hated On Mostly
waiting for fix !!!That would be a long wait. Some communication with the creator of this software made us decide to list the free version only (not listing fixes)How do you justify allowing other fixes for other software but not this one? Very hypocritical...Here is what I said over in another post about Windows Firewall Control:I am a registered/paid user of Binisoft Windows Firewall Control and I would like to thank you for the cracks/keygens you have been making for this program. I use your keygens to activate instead of my paid membership because I absolutely hate programs that have online activation. I didn't realize that a firewall program would have online activation when I purchased it and am disappointed in the developer using that kind of method for the program. What if he quits developing the program and abandons the website? What if he loses his real world job and can't afford to run the website and abandons it?What if I can't access his website due to filtering? What if he gets a girlfriend who demands he spend all of his money on her so he abandons the website so he can buy her ice-cream?etc. etc. etc.He is not some big corporation that will continue on without him or has little chance of disappearing. That makes paying for a registration that requires online activation more risky.Basically, I won't be able to use a program I paid for and that bothers me. Your keygen solves this problem for me.I have been burned before by big companies and individuals paying for software/service that depended on being online and I now avoid such licensing schemes.Big Thanks to PurpleBeanZ and xpmule! Keep it up!Why aren't you allowing me, a paying user, to use Windows Firewall Control as I wish as opposed to what the developer wishes? This is a strange decision by nsane.down and one which I don't like. xpmule
I don't have a problem with blocking cracks on the main page as long as we can do things in the forum. But i can see this guy is absolutely bloody obsessive about stopping crackers though. He has bitched and complained to staff here and he has also come in and bitched and complained at me and every one elseon one of the WFC firewall topic i posted a crack / keygen in (made by PurpleBeanZ and updated by me)and he should have a look around at how people feel about DRM lolEvery minor update that is put out has mostly changes to the Activation system and this guy is going to great lengthsto rewrite the code to try and fool crackers so paying customers should know they are paying a dev money to code DRM protections lolI would suggest he focus more on making a program people WANT to buy.. and doing stuff like this isn't gonna get you very many fans lolReminds me of when i walked past a news-paper box yesterday.. you put a dollar or two in the box and get a paper..The cover you see on the front of the box is like a demo and people buy it when they want the full version etc..But does the owner of the newspaper spend at least %50 of his time and effort searching the streets looking for peoplewho didn't pay the $1.75 ? Does he file a complaint with the Public transit bus company for riders reading the paper left on the bus ?Does he try and sue cafe patrons who read the paper at the local cafe ?I think this is sad.. The dev could have handled this all better.. he has come across in a poor light i think.
nuttertools
Seeing all this... both Tinywall (free) & Windows7 Firewall Control (free or fixed one) are less PITA. However I like new Punisher icon :-) Way to go!!! :-) :-) :-)

When I purchased a license to Sandboxie it didn't have online activation. All you had to do was enter your license key and the program would allow all of its features. Now it has online activation which as I stated before I hate. And since it is one guy behind the app, Sandboxie has the same problem as WFC. My purchase loses its value the instant something happens to the developer, the website, his day-job, etc.Sandboxie is another example of paying users getting burned for purchasing software. I am probably going to stop buying any software ever again since developers feel like they have a right to restrict their paying customers use of software.
