For this ~

Seriously, more than 30 is now "a few"

You lot really are as deluded as you seem....

Fanboyism really has spread here as well.....

lol. Secunia just reported the vulnerabilities and everyone goes mad over it.

OK. Here are few things I'll like to mention / clear:

Patches are made available very quickly for vulnerabilities in browsers, which is very positive because it indicates that browser vendors are serious about security.

As per this pic, the vulnerabilities were fixed in one month. Which is great.

Source.

Now, it's not all good and dandy here.

1. Who said Chrome wasn't cracked in Pwn2Own?

Nils and Jon from MWRLabs were successful in exploiting Google Chrome using WebKit and Windows kernel flaws to bypass Chrome sandbox and win $100,000.

2. Above shows Chrome sandbox is good, but it's not something that should be taken for granted.

3. Chrome's build-in updating functions are great. But if there are users out there who may not receive the updates, are fucked up. However, users who don't get the updates are very less.

4. In years, the difference of 25 vulnerabilities becomes more than 250. But browsers fixing those vulnerabilities fast is great.

5. Only 8 0-days were found by Secunia. I'll rule out every browser from having any of those.

6. Number of vulnerabilities found has a lot to do with how much the browser is targeted. Like it not, Webkit is becoming next IE, so be ready for even higher number of flaws in webkit and Chrome.

Just clearing things up.

funny what i got from this wasn't a battle of the browser issue.

what i found amusing is that Microsoft is getting praise here for security LOL

so uhh yeah uuuuuhmmm somebody wanna post a link to a program written in any of the .net languages such as C#

that can not be raped beyond recognition on a scale never seen of in history.

I'll give an example.. i can disassemble the complete full source code line by line to say the WFC firewall control program.

The implications of this on a security level is staggering ! wanna MAKE an exploit ? sure here is the FULL source code LOL

There will never ever be an easier way to hack a program. using .net is like screaming hey i don't care about security,

because i am a lazy coder not willing to learn a REAL language.

And its MS that designed and pushed this garbage hard on us all and they want nothing more than to push this drivel through

their walled garden Metro world of shit..
