The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files. I best ask this now rather than always dealing with it.

For some reasona nd I'm sorry, not too sure how many builds ago this started.. But whenever I install this and then let's say for example I try to play a (H264).mp4 file... Basically when I just click on it once, basically it auto-quits all my folders and 'resets' explorer basically.

And this only happens after I install the codecs.

What i have to do to 'fix' this problem is go to "Tools -> Folder Options -> File Types" and delete both .mp4 / .mkv files, and then re-open those and 're-associate' to play with MPC.

Not too sure if anyone else is experiencing this.. And I find it annoiyng so dunno if anyone is able to help... But it's been bugging me, thanks.

Also this applies to both my laptop + sisters computer as well..

Hmm that's strange... didn't get it this time around for .mp4, but for the .mkv I got it... So I just changed the .mkv splitter to use Gabest instead of Halli and that seemed to have fixed that.. although not too sure about the .mp4 given that I didn't touch that and I actually use CoreAVC for H264 decoding.

You can select to open these files with MPC right after installation(still in the installation window), does that help?
