jofre
Vipre AV installed yesterday still shows 15 days trial remaining, which means the Patch works.VIPRE is a high-performance application that doesn't slow down y/computer. Had my 2nd automatic update a few minutes ago.Less heavy than Eset 3. It`s a very good one. Please try and feedback here.cheersJofre
KotaXor
hmmmm, using between 10 to 20MB of memory. Not bad compare to Nod32 v2.7.Got to see how effective it is.

Gluecks
It doesn't seem very light to me. When I open my Quick Launch menu it goes crazy scanning everything there, freezing explorer for multiple minutes (!). Scanning 50 games in a subfolder of my quicklaunch froze my explorer for five minutes (A64 X2 4600+) - for that it also uses as much CPU as it can get, while for the on-demand scans it doesn't seem to scan multiple files at once, so it takes forever while it's crawling through some folder with media files, pictures or what. Can't test much about a PNG after all.Being able to choose what it actually changes as opposed to NAV's "I know everything better than the user" is sure nice, though. Sadly the heuristics are not very helpful in terms of telling you *why* a file is "suspicious".
Noddy
. . . . . . . sounds promising, Valette - keep us updated, please.
Valette
@Gluecks - There's no need to let automatic scan ON, about the heuristics I think it's not a big deal because if you use NAV, KAV or whatever people tend to google the results just to be sure, that's what many people do I guess. Ofc giving you enough information to be sure would be the right thing but if you see NOD32, KAV, NAV, Bitdefender, etc... They are not clear either. KotaXor
Fix does not work, anyone have this problem? The trial date remains at 15 days but definitions does not update, it claim that it is updated but it remains as it was a week ago.Vipre does not give me an opinion to reinstate my virus, it just deleted it. (I know what I am doing, I want my virus back!)

Bee
Hello everyone,I have eset nod32 installed for a week, then i discovered the comodo internet security. I really love the interface of the comodo and the extensive settings it allows you to have. I would like to completely move accross to comodo.WHat are everyones thoughts on this? Use both or use something else with it or is there another alternative.I am very new to this and don't have much knowledge. I only know that i like the setting and interface of the comodo. On this note though- I seem to have problems with updating the comodo internet security and also get an error when i try to do a scan. The error msg states:Error code 0x80004002. No such interface supportedWhen I try to run diagnostic it also comes up with an error once it goes through the verifying integrity of installation the final error being cfpconfg.exe has stopped working.Have I missed something during installation? I shall attempt uninstalling then installing again. I shall check back here after that and try some of your suggestions. Thanks in advance for taking your time to read, reply and assist me.Wish me luck :(*bee crosses her fingers*
