Not possible. Download the 64 bit one.

100% true... you virtually cannot convert a 32bit driver to a 64bit driver... ONLY the manufacturer can make a 64bit driver, not the consumer :P

michaelteo2000 - if it's a WiFi USB dongle, then there are chipset manufacturer drivers for it for sure.

I can help you out but I need to know the Vendor ID.

Here's how :

plug the device in, and then go to -> Right click 'computer' -> Properties -> Device Manager -> Right click on the device with Question mark -> Properties -> Details -> Drop down the list where 'Device description' is first selected then change it to Hardware Ids.

Paste here in text form the first Value string from the Value box.

Hi, PrEzi.

Thanks for your helpfulness.

FYI, the Hardware IDs of my USB Wifi that I installed in a 32bit Win7 are:

USB\VID_0967&PID_0204&REV_0132
USB\VID_0967&PID_0204
Hope you can help me to find the 64bit driver for Win7.
Thousands of appreciation.

Ok, this gives a real headache...

It seems it is based on Intersil's Prism 2.5 Core logic.

However it was custom made (Custom Vendor ID) for Acer and MSI.

Acer WarpLink 802.11b Adapter (e.g. Acer 802.11b Mini USB Wireless Adapter (USB-300)) , MSI PenNote3100 wireless adapter and Lenovo USB400 Wireless LAN USB Adapter.

Chip1 is ISL3871

Chip2 is ISL3684

As far as I can see Intersil ceased to exists in the wireless department and they didn't produce any 64-bit generic drivers for Prism 2/2.5.

That is why you are not able to download any 64-bit drivers for that.

Here are two wikidev sites related to Prism, one offers 32/64bit version of drivers but it is for a newer chipset.

The VendorIDs in that drivers do not match so probably you'd need to force-install them.
Doubt that even when force-installing a non compatible driver it will work at all.

It can result in a BSOD / data loss so be careful.

The driver that matches your VendorID is here, but lacks 64bit support

http://download.wireless-driver.com/driver/Lenovo/USB400/Lenovo_USB400_Drv.zip

and here

ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/wireless/mini-usb/driver303.exe

Unfortunately I think you're out of luck...

Dear PrEzi,

Thank you very much for the information.
