vissha
When installing ASO latest version on Windows 8, it installed .net framework v3.0,v3.5 (without asking). And in Uninstall Programs, its not listed.Does it[.net framework] automatically be uninstalled when uninstalling ASO? How to remove the .net framework[v3.0,3.5] after uninstalling ASO? Does it[.net framework] do any harm to system files if uninstalled?
rach
AFAIK, .net 2.0 and 3.5 not built-in on Win8 So. 1. IMO. Nope 2. Control Panel>Programs>Turn on/off windows features. You'll find it 3. Nope. Just on software that need it.

vissha
.net are very important don't off/uninstall itBut v3.5 not very important for Win8. Bcoz it already have the latest .net framework. Only the s/w needed it. And mainly ASO downloads & install it automatically without asking. Just a text saying "installing .net framework" was shown. And no option to cancel it

nuthut
if you plan on running ANY legacy programs in Windows 8. You are going to need earlier versions of .NETThe coding is not backwards compatible for .NET
