I must be very UNLUCKY have had PC working at 95% and scanned over 200,000 keys and not ONE w8 key of any sort.

Lots of OTHER keys (about 80) and all rejected by VAMT3. That's 3 days running two copies of PIDchecker and not one bananna.

This is a lemon. Think this proves luck has nothing to do with it? and yes VamT3 is working ok on lots of other keys.

Unfortunately generating a valid key is rather simple. The problem is afaik if key is not registered in MS database, activation won´t work. Tested myself with method from here:

and generated MAK with an activation count of 5000 (as checked by pidgen), but none of them could activate the system. Alsways getting:

So you got activated Windows 8 Media center ... slmgr /ato to validate it...

If online activation fails, activate through phone/skype & slmgr /ato to validate it.

It would be better to generate some more and activate online...
