Enabling/Disabling CPU Parking Utility?

So, while browsing a internet I came across for a topic which told about CPU Parking Utility and it's benefits to disable this feature completely, actually this is the first time ever I have heard about this utility, so I'm not the expert to say is it wise to enable nor disable this utility.

Make parking options to show in the Windows Power Options:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\54533251-82be-4824-96c1-47b60b740d00cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583]

"Attributes"=dword:00000000

There appears a new item in your Power Options, looks like setting this value to 0 causes some processors to be in parked state, and setting this value to 100 disables this parked state.

Registry Editor method:

Open regedit and search this key 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583 and set min/max value to that state you want ( value 0 enables and decimal value 100 disables ), use f3 to search for all those keys.

My QuadCore i7 came with the CPU Parking disabled out of the box. ;)

Which values you had in your registry keys?

My registry does not have that basic key, at all:-

"Attributes"=dword:00000000

Edit:

"Attributes"=dword:00000001

process lasso has this feature but if you don't want to install process lasso... try this

ParkControl 1.0.0.10 - Disable CPU Parking Without Reboot

ParkControl is a handy and reliable utility designed to allow you to adjust CPU Core Parking for one or more power profiles.

CPU Parking is a feature of multi-core/SMP systems that disables cores when the system load is low. This decreases energy consumption and reduces heat dissipation.
By default, Windows provided no direct way to adjust this via the user interface, as they likely thought everyone would want to keep this enabled. With some tweaks, you can make it come back to the Power Profile settings.

I think this option is only available for laptops.

Just checked it and it doesn't exist on my PC.

Nope, just tried it on my desktop Win 7 x64 Ult, using Hackerz14 link (Btw Thanks!), the options there in my power profile and wasn't before.

Regards
