Original Titles Are Hard To Come By

Hey folks, found your wonderful lil corner of the net whilst I was tearing what little hair I have left out trying to follow a guide on youtube on how to activate something. Seriously, before I go on with the intro, is it actually ever that easy?!

Anyway, I stumbled across this site, read a few topics, and it seems very friendly and a proper community, coolcoolcool.

Better end this now, at the risk of rambling on any further, even though I realise as I type this I'm already rambling. Meh.

Love the forum!

He has to be more consistent though. And some people haven't noticed, but MS is in his form of his lifetime.

I agree, MS is unplayable at the moment. It's amazing how big a difference Test Dhoni is to ODI/ T20 Dhoni.

Anyway, I'm a Windies man myself ! But Cricket obsessed ;)

You guys have discovered some lovely bowlers, Shami Ahmed looks good, so does BKum (can't spell his name lol). But Ishant Sharma is expensive. I remember catching youtibe highlights of a few up coming indian quicks, what happened to them - Aaron and Yaduv I think,..

I see. I thought you were from India. :)

True, however, after MS is put on the gas, he is good in test too. He deserves the no. 7 spot, but like Jadeja in ODIs, MS needs to be consistent in tests.

Yup, somehow, we have really great fast bowlers, who, after some time, get injured or lose form fast. Yadav in injured, not sure about Varun Aaron. It's bhuban-eshwar, I'm guessing bhuban means ash(es) and eshwar means god/almighty (which together, refer to lord shiva). As for Ishant, he is best when he's bowling short of the length.

Anyway, the list of quicks we have (in total, oldies first):

Zaheer Khan.

Irfan Pathan.

Agit Agarkar (this guy has not given enough chances).

Ashish Nehra.

Lakshmipati Balaji.

RP Singh.

Shantakumaran Shreeshant.

VRV Singh.

Ishant Sharma.

Praveen Kumar.

Dhawal Kulkarni

Manpreet Gony.

Ashok Dinda.

Umesh Yadav.

Varun Aaron.

And now Shammi Ahmed.

Bhubaneshwar Kumar.

List continues. :P

You get the point. ;)

I do I do! You guys have a lot of bowlers lol! The way I see it as an outsider though, you guys have probably the softest seam attack out of the top tier nations. There's no one who I've seen bowling express, generally your guys bowl around 80-85mph, am I right? A lot of the guys you named, Apart from Zaheer Khan and maybe Pathan for a while do not strike fear - they like you said, seem to burn out quick?

That and your top order collapses of late are all getting blamed on the IPL over here !!

Talking about soft speeds, I forgot naming that old horse named Munaf Patel. <- Best example, started with 145KM/H, ended up following Glen McGrath at 125KM/H. Same with other players, Ishant, Shreeshant, RP, all going above 148KM/H, now less than 135KM/H. Now, only Aaron and Yadav are fast (both injured). Actually, it's all about the body structure, Indians lack good fast bowler's body.

To a lot extent, IPL is to be blamed. But lets not forget, as far as the level of cricket is concerned, IPL has taken it to another level. The fielding, batting, bowling, players from all over the world, newbie players have improved drastically. But, the batting problem should be blamed more on everyone going out of form together and seniors / stalwarts leaving.
