TheAslan
Make sure of that your Temp folder is not removed, this happened for me too when I moved my Temp folder to different hard disk and then I accidentally removed it and forgot to re-create Temp folder, I couldn't run any .exe files either. When Temp folder is located in different hard disk than Windows's default ( normally C:\ ), it can't re-create that folder to its new location in some reason once it's removed from its new location. So:If you have changed Temp folder location to new hard disk make sure it's not removed, if it's removed then create Temp folder, then your softwares should run again normally. mara-
Do you get any error message when you run exe files? And re-installing isn't easy, I hate when people say that. Like that's the simplest thing to do. I would need 7 days to restore all my programs, my settings, and who knows what else. And to those people re-install is solution to every problem. Learn to troubleshoot and to resolve problems.Cheers ;)

2Old2Remember
how can i go to safe mode in win 8 without msconfig?if is windows 8 you're using, have you tried the new refresh feature? It refreshes your settings to windows 8 defausts. If that dont work you can do a full reset that would remove all files and applications you installed after you installed windows 8. this would save you from having to reinstall windows 8. (backup before you do).
SnakeMasteR
Why u so noob? 967 posts...Try to use Kaspersky Rescue Disk.I don't think that has anything to do with noob, the postcount doesn't matter, i have never seen someone who always had a solution to a problem, everyone has to ask from time to time, it's not a crime. Also it has been posted many times that users experienced user account corruption on Windows 8, it's a new OS, the people have to learn how to fix stuffs, especially when you see all the non-M$-"customizations" for 8 you can find around the web. Kalju
First of all - on Windows 8 is not be able to use the F8 key to start in Safe Mode,Secondly - I think, the .exe file is not enabled in some reason, you will need to re-enable it.(This may be, that for another user it is permitted, for example, then you can use the Win 8 Manager to repaire this problem). I think, there is not any viruses.
fortheloveof***
Some google results. These can be hard to get to on an infected system so i mediafired two tools linked below.
