Picollo
i have issue with updates KB2736428 and KB2742595 for .Net framework 4 that became available very recently and I have been trying to install these for at least a couple of days with no luck. i'm running windows 7 ultimate x64. The problem I am having is that every time the updates show up in WU, these two updates are the only two important/optional updates available. so i install the two above mentioned updates and then tells me these two updates were installed successfully. Everytime i try to check for new updates they are there. i get no message that i need to reboot/restart and no more important/optional updates are showing at that point in WU. I then check again for more available updates and the same two updates mentioned above shows up again as available in WU. any ideas?
rach
check "view installed updates", see if its already installed. if it just small sized, how about download it manual from M$ and install it offline? :)
Picollo
yes both updates show up in the update history several times as sucessfully installed. tried installing manually, both had no problems then i search for updates in WU and bam there they are again asking to be installed. :wtf:

dcs18
Why don't you guys simply reset your Windows Updates - it's quite easy if you're using Yamicsoft Windows Manager.

Administrator DKT27 Posted January 13, 2013 Administrator Share Posted January 13, 2013 Leave it. Something like this happened for Windows 8, I left it for couple of months, it disappeared and came back, after that, it installed fine.
dcs18
I'd try getting into the 'Add or remove programs' to repair Microsoft.NET Framework 4 Client Profile and Microsoft.NET Framework 4 Client Profile before using Windows Updates. ;)
nIGHT
If you believe it installed properly then forget about it showing in windows update. Just uncheck it next time you visit windows update again if it still shows up. Microsoft windows update and most of its softwares/os/website are not perfect and may contain lots of bugs.
