Problem activating Avast Internet Security to start the trial period

I have recently installed the latest version of Avast Internet Security in an old win xp machine..When I try to activate the trial period, the mouse cursor goes busy forever..Tried repairing the installation and even uninstalled then reinstalled again..no use..

So, I need help.

Do clean re-installation with avast uninstall utility if add/remove fail within safe mode

you can create your own key by referring avast to 7/14/21 friends. open account on avast, download avast with link specific to your account, share with friends and you get your licence

..don't forget to use zenix's fix after you installed using that key...for it is already blacklisted. :P
