rudrax
There is some setting named away mode system in your BIOS which is in/for 32-bit architecture and your win 8 is in 64-bit architecture..so the setting may have some compatibility issue to work with 64-bit OS and so win 8 giving you the error..before disabling the setting, you will need to know what the away mode system does enabled and what will be its consequences on being disabled..If it seems fair enough to disable, then do it. Muradin001
i did this Open Control Panel and then Power Options. In there you'll have one of the three power plans selected (Balance, High Performance, and Power Saver). Click on the "Change Plan Settings" beside the one you are currently using. Now click on "Change Advanced Power Settings". Click on the + sign beside "Multimedia Settings". Click the + sign beside "When Sharing Media ". Change the setting to "Allow Computer to Sleep".and it worked i think... thanks ! anyway i have another question, windows 8 needs an av? and what do you reccomend? rudrax
You are not allowing your PC to sleep! How rude..Of course you do need an AV..but no one can choose the best AV for you that will make you feel comfortable..Bitdifender is currently on top but slows down PC and internet speed..I use Webroot secure anywhere, it's cloud based and extremely light..happy with it..another cloud AV option is Panda Cloud Antivirus..Choose whatever you want.. shorty6100
Windows 8 allready comes with an antivirus-Windows Defender. If you choose something else, make sure you disable Windows Defender as it may interfere with whatever AV you choose. I also use Webroot SecureAnywhere and it is the lightest AV out there.
