Because the cracked versions can be used in unlimited number of PCs, but the bought versions can be used in just one/two PCs. Adobe is more buggy in most versions. But how about bugs, old version, etc. And not every crack is spyware/virus/root-kit. If we get it from trusted uploaders/sites, there won't be any problem. Nowadays most crackers want to serve the poor by giving the best crack possible and they've changed much in the past few years than just uploading virus. LeeSmithG Posted January 7, 2013 Share Posted January 7, 2013 I installed Adobe CS2 on windows 7 professional x64 sp1 and it works fine.At the beginning of installation product asked for key.When done installing I ran app and it didn't go through registration ask, that's it. :thumbsup: adobe.I downloaded them all for my Art Student daughter.12GB, took a few minutes on a 40gbs-1 connection.edit/ I just installed elements and the same as CS2.PSE v5.0 Installer is bad, it crashers at 99%, however it does extract all you need to install program.I just install it to a folder on desktop I created and ran it from there. ande Posted January 7, 2013 Share Posted January 7, 2013 There is no need for any type of crack or blocking IPs in host, fully functional and clean Adobe CS6 products, you only need one illegal thing which is the key of product/suite you are going to install that can be blacklisted.Many people, including me, don't wanna use illegal software unless they are forced, and are choosing free alternatives.This is a great opportunity for those kind of people, and when you learn to work in CS2, then principles are same as in CS6, just a little bit shiny and 'maybe' more convenient.Getting giveaway from Adobe is a rare opportunity, I advise anyone to get the key, even if they are never planing to use it (you can give it to a friend that isn't computer geek and she will be thrilled).Anyway thank you for sharing this wonderful giveaway with us and peace out. SnakeMasteR Posted January 8, 2013 Share Posted January 8, 2013 According to one of the Adobe officials in their forum, they never released those versions to the public for everyone, they released them to customers that purchased valid CS 2 licenses in the past (and the whole or parts of the CS 2 family) but as they mention, those customers can not activate these products via server anymore, only for these people are the local files and their serials (to help them out and make sure they still are able to reinstall and use their softwares).It's a mistake, a funny one (these info has been spread very fast all over the interwebz) but it was and is not (as long as no other official statement arrives) intended to give CS 2 for free to the public as giveaway. :)There’s a lot of chatter on the internet today, including Twitter, claiming that Adobe is now giving CS2 away for free.This is simply not true. What is happening is that Adobe has shut down the activation servers for CS2. Because of that, CS2 users were unable to activate if they reinstalled the software. In order to allow these people to continue to use their software Adobe has made available, for download, CS2 software which does not require activation.The download requires an Adobe ID and in order to install it, a valid serial number.The original announcement was made almost a month ago.
