Good one DKT27.

last question...

on the download page...

the business installer is x86, but i see an x86 and x64 update patch in the listing.

is there an x64 version somewhere?

The main installer is x86 + x64. The update patch comes in different versions. The update patch is only used for updating from older version (just saying).

about the patch, it's what i was thinking.

about the installer, i ask the question, because the installer want to install in "program files (x86)", and i have win 7 64 bit (and a 64 bit cpu).

is it...normal?

It installed in normal Program Files here. Try installing again.

For me I used defraggler but with a 2TB hard drive I rarely do a defrag. And it should increase the boot-up time of software. Because when a piece of software is installed it can be installed all over the platter of the HDD. Most pieces of defrag software arrange and move data to a certain area of the hard drive. That way it puts less wear and tear on the hard drive as the data for the program is in one place cause the head and the drive to not have to search on spin as much. Although I don't know if doing it weekly will have any noticable difference. I unsually run a defrag on my clients machines ever 6 months or so.

i run the installer, download from the main page, business version, and ...

it try to install to..."C:\Program Files (x86)\Raxco\PD12.5_Pro_Install"

i try to turn off behavior blocker and antivirus, from Comodo CIS, and same thing.

bizarre...

the program would still work...but i wonder why it try to install the x86 version

if i use winrar to decompress it...

i have a setup.exe file, a x86 folder, and a x64 folder (with files).

if i delete the x86 folder, it should install the x64 version, via "PerfectDisk_x64.msi", without problem?

i finally unrar it, and double-clic "Perfectdisk_x64.msi", and it install, without error.

the program load, the key work, now i will shedule the defrags.
