rudrax
Guys, is there any good webcam software other than Arcsoft Webcam Companion or Cyberlink Youcam..?I used both of them, they are heavy and capture quality isn't that good..just aLOLtz of effects! ck_kent
How about WebcamMax? It's like Youcam but lighter. The recording quality will really depend on your webcam and light condition of the room.
dcs18
Yes, Cyberlink YouCam certainly has a bigger footprint - have found it's quality better than the others.

vissha
ArcSoft is also good. Tried many times and better than Cyberlink/any other product.
SnakeMasteR
Bandicam can capture Webcams also and you can specify an external codec if you want.
rudrax
Bandicam can capture Webcams also and you can specify an external codec if you want.I like things that's customizable..thanks..how is the capture quality of Bandicam with the external codec you specified? SnakeMasteR
It depends on the codec you use, the capture quality of Bandicam's own codec is pretty fine but in most cases, the better the quality, the bigger the output file.I personally tested the Lagarith, a video with 1024x768 in size for 16 seconds with 254 MB on output. That codec is recommended if you want to edit it later with Sony Vegas or similar software. If you want to use Bandicam's codecs i would use MPEG-1. As external codec i would use x264, a video with 1024x768 in size for 19 seconds with 5 MB on output and the quality is pretty good. But i think everyone has a choice to make. ^_^
