when it comes to play any file then vlc is best, but when it comes play a low video with good quality then power dvd is best. but due to its home cinema feature and big size and heavy on system resources. i am looking for a alternative, corel dvd is one, any other suggestion.

PLZ. provide only which can enhance the video quality.

ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre.

Advanced SimHD brings high definition

  • As a professional video player, TotalMedia Theatre 5 brings DVDs and low-resolution videos, even YouTube videos, up to near high-resolution quality with improved SimHD algorithms
  • Offer dynamic lighting, denoise, and smoothness enhancements

i just try it, and yes, it really do a good job.

for testing, i download a video from youtube, at 480p and 720p (same video)

the 480p video play with Arcsoft still look better than the 720p one in MPC HC

but it may be because i haven't check any mpc setting...

*happy new user of Arcsoft player*

Both MPC HC and vlc are same, and i prefer to use vlc.

Used arcsoft TMT but don't get any special quality.

WinDVD Pro :D

it may be a good altrnative. Don't checked it yet.

actually Power DVD has option of software decoder with true theatre effects that do a fine job on systems without a good graphics.

VLC is quite tame when compared to MPC-HC :nono:

yes, you are right.

but they both can handle more formats than many other players. so when i said they both are same it was in this functionalty.

Nah nah, mere handling and ruling are two different things with special regard to quality - MPC-HC owns VLC. ;)
