Windows 7 Random Restart

My dad's Windows 7 machine keeps on resetting for random reasons. I really didn't know why because all the hardware looked OK so what's the reason for it to do that? The fans are all running at top speed.

The PC:

ECS P4M800PRO-M2

1 GB RAM

Seagate 40 GB IDE HDD

VIA/S3G Onboard Video

Realtek AC '97 Sound

I'll attach the file with all the error info according to Windows.

Error Code.txt

You'll find the cause at the following file (unless you've already scrubbed your system with some privacy utility like CCleaner):-

C:\Users\YourFathersNameRemoved\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-57156-0.sysdata.xml

Open WER-57156-0.sysdata.xml with notepad and the cause will be revealed. ;)

It doesn't appear to be created.

all problem point to vtdisp.dll

this is your VIA igp and what you can do is to update the driver

try uninstall the driver first then install the latest driver

do a sfc scan also

It's certainly created - but, as a temporary file, you need to access it fast (better luck next time.) ;)

Yup, it's the graphics driver.

If you have more dumps, post them with BlueScreenView too.

I've had a similar problem with a PC with VIA integrated graphics. When I installed the updated graphics, the BSOD appears. I had to uninstall the current drivers and install and older version of the graphic drivers to solve the problem.

I hope you can solve your problem the same way :)
