Good morning everyone,

Question; How do I download videos from DailyMotion with IDM?

When I load up the page, ex:
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xtqiep_eng-120916-secret-god-of-battle1-of-2_lifestyle#.UNiQg9fIa9I

I get the download dialog but it's a small 810.96kb .flv file.

So not too sure if I'm doing something wrong here.

Generally I use YouTube but friend linked me to DailyMotion and there isn't a copy of this on YT, there is, but it directs to DailyMotion.

Thanks.

oh god, it's one of those sites where IDM breaks the original video link into a thousand tiny video links

Dailymotion is a sh!tty site . <_<

Esp for the way it embeds its video .

Nothing extra ordinary on it which cant be found on other Video Tubes ,

But has really cool and awesome babe videos in HD which arent that easily available else where . I like that part !

I have never succeeded to download a video from it with any of the plethora of tools available .

But that doesnt mean the video cant be downloaded ! ;)

I have found a work around . Simple but Clever .

Cache content of the browser !

Worked for 99% of the times for me .

Play the video in Internet Explorer . Let the video play to almost end and then PAUSE it .

NOTE --- Never let the video complete to full . Or else the entire cache will be wiped off and you will have to restart the play .

( this is other other shitty part about this site )

Now just run this tiny little tool -- Video cache View http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/video_cache_view.html

Hit refresh .

And there you have the video in the listing in front of you .

Just right click it and select -- " Copy selected files to "

Done ! ;)

Result -- Dailymotion = Trolled !

:troll:

Dave had this to say

Dailymotion changed their site and now it uses protocol that is not yet supported by IDM. Maybe we will add such support in the future.
