Are you facing any problem regarding that?

Here's the one for speed improvement but I don't think that it does anything:

Maybe, you should

(Backup/create system restore first)

Step 1:

1. Open gpedit.msc
2. Find computer configuratiom->administrative templates->network->QoS Packet Scheduler->Click 2x limit reservable bandwidth
3. Click enable & change 20% to 0%

Step 2:
1. Open Regedit
2. Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->DownloadManager
3. Find connection speed->change the value to 999999999

;)

What if I change the value to 999999999

Don't screw around with stuff that's beyond your domain of knowledge (all the more when it's a driver - that's the Advanced Integration state of the IDM driver.) :)

There are only possible 2 values (none for speed):-

  • 00000001 = yes
  • 00000000 = no

@ rudrax

You've already made the first tweak in your system through Windows 7 Manager. The second tweak is the catastrophe-in-waiting which the Mayans failed to predict.

My method result:

;)

I can see that..If you change the values in registry that will change the corresponding values of installed components but the value you tweaked may not even be reached by a T1 line..for the usual end users, IDM comes already optimized with the best.

You can better choose your actual connection in the Connection type/speed drop-down menu to get the best result out of it, that's all.

I was not intending to do the tweak..I had been through this tweak long time ago resulting nothing..

That's your internet connection speed not IDM's download/upload speed.

That's also not result - it's just input (result = output.) :)
