Marik
Firefox is the award winning next generation browser from Mozilla. Firefox empowers you to browse faster, more safely, and more efficiently than with any other browser. Make the switch today - Firefox imports your Favorites, settings and other information, so you have nothing to lose. Stop annoying popup ads in their tracks with Firefox's built in popup blocker. View more than one web page in a single window with this time saving feature. Open links in the background so that they're ready for viewing when you're ready to read them. Built with your security in mind, Firefox keeps your computer safe from malicious spyware by not loading harmful ActiveX controls. A comprehensive set of privacy tools keep your online activity your business. Thanks to thylacine for the update.Download

Administrator DKT27 Posted December 20, 2012 Administrator Share Posted December 20, 2012 @Marik Any significant improvements in area of memory management? Stop dreaming. :P Shouldn't actually matter though. If something like Firefox isn't using it, then Windows is using it for caching. On 4GB RAM, gone those days where I use to monitor it's RAM usage and worry about it. ande
I'm actually forcing FF to use as much as possible of RAM, because my HDD is kinda crappy, and here SDD is 30% more expensive than in USA.But slow startups, often crashes and hangs, in stable editions, are things I was hoping they were gonna fix. Startup speed was increased drastically in version 16-17 or something, check the addons if they are slowing things down. Crashes and hangs are more related to Flash, etc.

My way to do it: browser.cache.disk.enable to False browser.cache.memory.enable to True browser.cache.memory.capacity to -1 (sometimes I set manual value 24576) Source
