Blaster
Is Eset Antivirus (or Smartsecurity) enough for full protection? Or should I also use additional malware software? In case, which malware is #1 atm? Thanks for helping me out.
Viktor
use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware version 1.33 as backup(disable realtime / use freeware version)http://www.malwarebytes.org/_ In case of EAV add a Firewall extra_ ESS only, enough, with Malwarebytes added. :)

irefay
A few weeks ago I got some BS virus off of a newgroup. So I momentarily switched to kapasky (sp?) It works well but its a pain to keep changing s/n every time yours gets blacklisted. So I am back to Nod. Nod works very well with only a small amount of resources used. It is recommended in most troubleshooting website, such as ProcessLibrary Forum.I have use this to save many malware-infected's computers (friends). It is recommended to use this in conjunction with HijackThis to rid your computer of virus, trojan, malware and spyware. The last resort is to use ComboFix, which should be use carefully!(not for the faint-hearted).And almost forgot, you are a VIP
Donaldo
Alright kotaxor, fair enough & thanks a lot!!!!Matter-of-fact, I was just about to download the latest release of Webroot Spy Sweeper 6.0.2.49. Thanks to you, I'm going for Malwarebytes, instead.

Thanks to you, I'm going for Malwarebytes, instead.Malwrebytes for a standalone scanner.Realtime protection sucks though!Counterspy is my choice for the real time protection.Spysweeper is just a piece of BS now a days.I uninstalled it when it started prompting to register for Webroot back up!I mean I use antispy for what the name says, not for backing up my PC to a webroot server. :)

Donaldo
And almost forgot, you are a VIP :party:Thanks man!!!BTW, I replaced my Spy Sweeper with 'Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.33' and ran a thorough scan - it detected 160 instances of malwares (156 FPs from Evidence Eliminator, 3 FPs from NodLogin & NodEnabler.) However, there was 1 good catch (an inactive trojan that came free with a screensaver d/l.) All said, MAM is a small utility that runs much lighter than Spy Sweeper - I'm keeping this one (despite the FPs.) :)
PsychoticxBloodxLust
i have fun just using a good av with hard firewall is best if it comes to malware i just dl the latest combofix, save it to c drive rename it thunder_cats, and run it using safe mode with command prompt then rebooting into regular safemode works everytime no flaw
