rudrax
As we all know that Explorer.exe is very essential part of GUI based windows, but sometimes it shows problems.. Here what I'm facing currently:When I start the system, in some random time, there runs two process for Explorer.exe..This phenomenon doesn't happen everytime I start the system but randomly as I have stated already. The other one is, after starting the system, in some random time, there pops up an error window saying "Windows explorer has stopped working", then I restart explorer.exe and it gets temporarily fixed. Then, the next one..sometimes, doing usual business with the system, there runs 4, 5 nos. of explorer.exe processes in the task manager. Then I kill other inactive explorer.exe letting the active one to run.And the last one is, doing usual business, the explorer.exe suddenly goes high on resources, uses upto 25% of CPU making aLOLtz of noise..Then I have to restart the explorer.exe..sometimes it gets fixed after restarting and sometimes it doesn't and makes me to restart the system.None of the stated problems occur in a row, it's random and can't be predicted. I update windows vital updates regularly except, internet explorer, .NET frameworks, windows defender, malicious software removal tool. I suspect .NET Framework might have something to do with it, is it?

dcs18
Duality of Explorer.exe is not a bug - in fact, it's a good tweak generated by your Windows 7 Manager that actually prevents your sub-station from sinking completely during those crashes that you're experiencing.I'd suggest calling for a donation of the Explorer.exe file from some member (with a clean system) as per your OS and flavor. If no member is ready to oblige you - I'm afraid you gotta get your butt out into the streets to beg, borrow or steal (Explorer.exe)

dcs18
Suggest you add an appeal for Explorer.exe to your first post (and maybe your subject-line) - someone should upload a pristine copy, sooner than later.

dcs18
That command resets your own Explorer back to Microsoft state - you wont have to ask it of anyone (also kiss your crash issues, good-bye.)

dcs18
You can always cross check your Explorer.exe checksum with other members - the SFC Scan does restore the file to factory settings. ;)
