ande
As for settings in Facebook and Google you can do it manually.Cleaning cookies is something you can do with CCleaner. As for privacy, main key is not using Chrome, since its unique ID identifies you even under VPN.Using DoNotTrack and NoScript with few tweaks like block globally, and block untrusted Frame, and whitelisting trusted sites is best way for getting rid of nasty tracking sites.Using HTTPS Everywhere encrypts website content and OpenDNS Crypt is good way for keeping encrypted DNS requests. And finally using VPN to hide you IP/MAK address.Creating abstract/fake profile, with fake state, name, address, e-mail, phone number, driver license, Social Security number, and be sure that you have VPN (IP) form same region, and that in times when you are undercover your time zone is correct.Update applications only under VPN or proxy or disable auto-updates, disable apps from sending data for whatever reason (improve performance and similar). Flushing DNS if you aren't under VPN, and also spoofing MAK, after every session.Disable sharing and remote assistant, optimize hardware/software firewall for maximum security. If you have to post pictures, on social networks, use limited number of long distance pictures that are hardly identifiable.Share limited number of personal information to friends and have limited number of friends.Use good old 'If it's too good to be truth, it probably isn't truth'. - or in another word be aware of social engineering. If you are using online services and under rules you see that they can change Privacy Policy rules whenever they want and they do not need to inform you then be aware, especially if we are talking about VPN.Even if you are under VPN, don't connect to social network (if it's you real profile) at the same time when you visit crack/hack/porn sites - instead, clear history and refresh VPN.If you are using VPN and you are doing something that is legal in your county, but partially illegal in country that VPN is ruled by, then you can be prosecuted.Read Privacy Policy rules, especially if we are talking about online services. There is no need for other apps that can increase privacy for you. ande
Privacyfix can give you only partial privacy, and only you can decide for your self how much privacy you wanna give up!It's up to you to decide, but this add-on have ability to log you account info, and whether or not it grants you total anonymity it is also privacy risk. avmad
The thing is, it pointed out some Facebook policy changes I'd never have bothered checking, as I did it already. I never bothered looking but now i'm aware and have made them private again. So it was usefull for that. If more policy changes etc are made, this addon should inform me again, hopefully. It is only a small area of concern in a big field, but it's nice to have, to keep an eye on future FB changes. I'm not expecting anything more from it.
