Installing Windows 8 on Asus

I have an Asus P5PE-VM Motherboard with an Intel Pentium D 925 and according to the Windows 8 Upgrade Advisor, I am good to go as far as the hardware goes EXCEPT for NX. Upon doing research, NX is only available on AMD processors and not Intel ones. I seem to have the NX equivalent for Intel which is XD enabled. So.. can I install Windows 8 with XD instead of NX?

Windows 8 REQUIRES the NX bit to be present on the processor chipset you have.... otherwise u will probably get massive errors and not worth it. Just get a new computer w/ Windows 8 on it and u will be fine :)

Ok so it seems I just got a corrupted copy of the Upgrade Advisor, my problem now is Secure Boot is not compatible. How do I fix that?

Nevermind, it seems that only 2012 motherboards will support this Secure Boot feature as it doesn't use BIOS but UEFI so THANKS Y'ALL!

Also if anyone could refer me to a good link to D/L Windows 8 complete with Activators, I would really appreciate it!

Not true, when I installed my Windows 8 the motherboard did not have UEFI - just recently learned about the UEFI benefit and upgraded to UEFI.

Well, you are fortunate that your motherboard got the UEFI update. I don't think my motherboard will ever have an UEFI update. :(
