Gmail suffers service outage

Couldn't log into Gmail? You were not alone.

Web users from across the world reported on forums and Twitter that Gmail, one of the most widely used email services, suffered outage on Monday evening. The outage that started around 10.30pm India time left Gmail inaccessible for millions.

Google, which runs and shows its status to the public on its App service page, acknowledged the problem around 11pm. "We're investigating reports of an issue with Google Mail. We will provide more information shortly," the company said on its 'app status' page.

Apart from the disruption in the Gmail service, users also reported that Chrome, which allows web surfers to tie up their Google account with the browser, was also crashing repeatedly. The problem was likely linked to the disruption in Google services. Google Talk, which integrates with Gmail, Google Drive and Google Docs were also affected by disruptions.

Gmail and other Google services were restored around 10.55pm and since then were working normally.

i personally experienced chrome crashes continuously for 15 min as stated in da above article.how many experienced this???

I haven't any problems with my google accounts.

And cannot experience Chrome crashes because I use Firefox.

Was continuously on my numerous Gmail accounts without any service disruption. ;)
