jalaffa
The K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools. Codec is short for Compressor-Decompressor. Codecs are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video. The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files. With the K-Lite Codec Pack you should be able to play all the popular movie formats and even some rare formats. The 64-bit pack is a bundle of 64-bit DirectShow filters that can be used together with 64-bit players, such as Windows Media Center. This pack can co-exist without problems with the regular (32-bit) K-Lite Codec Packs.Download

anakin206
Is there an update from 9.5.8 or am I going to have to reinstall the pack? There are not updates from 9.5.8 to 9.6. You have to install the complete pack and it asks you to uninstall the previous version.

HJSC
Has anyone else had problems with Windows SmartScreen? "Windows SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk." That didn't happen with the previous version (9.5.5). I compared the file hash and values match. Well, the solution is to disable SmartScreen protection (temporarily or permanently lol). =S
