Administrator DKT27 Posted December 10, 2012 Administrator Share Posted December 10, 2012 I'll personally call them earphones, eases lots of confusion while searching.Anyway, I'm not good with earphone stuff, I find them little bit annoying and painful, so a headphone guy here. Sony one looks good though.

majithia23
I never really am a fan or a recommender of Sony in the Audio segment .But , if it is Sony you are looking for , go for something in the XB series .Aint that good , but pretty good for the common ear ... ;)Skull candy is well just -- Candy !Fail . avmad
I always recommend checking out headfi.org for the best info. I wouldn't buy Skullcandy though that's for sure.

majithia23
@rudraxShelling out a few extra pennies at present for a greater return in the long run isnt that bad a proposition .Its the comfort and sensible pleasure you should be concerned with and not just a piece of hardware .So , make sure to DULY test the headphones you wish to buy after giving them an ear .And do check out Yebhi.com and Pepperfry.com for the preferred product . They have plenty of options and even many discount coupons ! ;)
ck_kent
From the choices, I'll go with Sony. From the specs alone it will give you much better frequency response (bass & treble).

I tried auditioning these other expensive brands but I found that my old Sony earphones, which I got for less than $8, can compete with them toe-to-toe. I always check the frequency response range first and the power output to see if it's any good.
rudrax
So, got it today..and here's my review:Good, not the excellent.Good for listening to hip-hops, metals and DJ-mixes and other BASSy genres. You can hear some unheard sounds in it which are not detectable in ordinary headphones.Bottom-line: Sony charges extra money for its name. Mr Smith
Personally I would prefer Beetles brand which is little bit expensive but quality is really worth.

berra
I have these, and am so happy with the sound. I think Sennheiser makes very good products, can be a bit expensive with some of their products but well worth the money.http://en-de.sennheiser.com/earphones-headphones-sound-isolating-cx-400-ii
