I am not IDM fan, switched to free download manager(fdm) years ago.

you can try http://files.freedow...dminst-lite.exe (3.9 1249) or http://www.nsanedown...equest=12210660

hope no one will be disappointed, so simple and light weight

3 download modes, pause all

browser plugin (can be removed from option), url catcher, clipboard moniter

extra plugins can be added (Video Conversion, Bittorrent plugin, Languages pack) all for free!

idm beat fdm by far in speed thats the prob ;)

Moreover, some punks like me would lose sleep from being unable to learn the root cause of the issue. :(

Here's another dumb ass who utilizes the little amount of brain that he has running after this mystery

FDM too uses the same logic of downloading in parts as IDM

FDM must have the same expensive servers as IDM does

I just manage to conclude: what comes at a cost must be good than what comes for free

Shucks!!!

Hey, wonder if this issue is related to your Explorer issue?

Why don't you try the following command - you'll know immediately if your HDD is carrying forward bad sectors causing the inability of IDM to write random file fragments:-

chkdsk /f /r C:

The above command presumes your system files (and IDM installation) resides on the C:\ volume (if not, replace C, as applicable.)

Just disable https in the settings page of your downloading sites & force download with http & number of connection you like.

I believe all the above errors are caused by incompatibility between their ssl & our security solutions.

Well, for Furk.net issue I come up with some conclusion (may be solution)

I have just completed a 450 MB download successfully..

All I did is,

  • In IDM I changed the maximum number of connections to 1
  • Downloaded with alternative http connection (httpS is provided by default with the download button)
  • Every time I resumed a interrupted download, I didn't just click the Resume button..I right clicked on the subject download and from the list I clicked on Refresh download address option.

The above process is a bit slower than usual IDM download speed (as it is forced to use only 1 connection) but way faster than directly downloading a torrent with Bit-torrent client.

I'm 80% with you on that i use a personal ssl cert and got lot of problems in my first days when i use ssl the problem are root certs or CA certs are installed incorrectly ...

@rudrax try to update your Internet explorer and firefox and check if some ssl certs are outdated .

Edit :

Most big problems cames from ssl certs and outdate or removed certs ... use http and force IDM to use that.

No need to use single connection with http, use conection number as you like, With http never got an error & i never refreshed address even after a day, Sometime refreshed after ip limit or account limit.

For https i suggest to use single connection if you dont know the site well, the file will get currupt at the end.

Hi! Sorry for the noob question but how do i do this? What I just did is remove the s in the address. Is that it?

I don't know why I am experiencing this problem since this December but not beforehand. What I just do is to start another download before one file reaches 90% and it does work but I sometimes don't remember so I need to find a better solution. :)

Thanks.
