Jin
Do you use a Wireless Router?Yes, me and my flatmates share same connection? Jin
I'm practically sure your IP is somehow shared by more users, either it is meant to be by your ISP or it's some people hijacking your connection...I think so..yes..that would be reasonable...hijacking can be also..So is there any solution with this? :( So I think from now on I will ask on direct download link from the sharer themselves...PM is my only hope..Right now I really like to download the latest version of Acronis Home 2009..I do have the build 9646.. Administrator Lite Posted April 6, 2009 Administrator Share Posted April 6, 2009 You are in an unfortunate state. We had many attacks last month from your IP range. (Over 10000 access attempts from the range 218.186.12.xx for files on the proxy).I've edited the blockage to block all requests from others in the range, but to allow yours. Cos my ISP is using dynamic ip for my internet connection (202.156.49.XX) so after i reboot my ip may change. Will I get blocked again if my IP changes? i noticed that my ip usually starts with 202.156.XX.XXor do u require the dns instead?

Administrator Lite Posted April 7, 2009 Administrator Share Posted April 7, 2009 We use a different blocklist for the FP and for the forums, incase of problems like this.
myidisbb
could they been using a download accelerator or such? where when downloading a file it is actually connecting 10+ at once. something like that for quick downloading
Administrator Lite Posted April 7, 2009 Administrator Share Posted April 7, 2009 The proxy only allows one connection at a time, so using a download manager wouldn't make a difference. Also, only IPs with very high numbers of connection in a month or banned. Its unlikely a normal user would get banned by the blocking system. shought
That's not fair Lite, remember, once you almost banned me :DBut I'm not a normal user, am I? I'm 'special' :frusty:

myidisbb
I'm specifically talking about the blocking system with the proxy.proxy refering to the rar files? i know there is a 20 miinute time limit if you click on the same file request. i was just trying to picture in my mind how 800 times a month could happen. i know every so often, usually 6 months or more between i might go get all the files on FP miss the p2p ones. but i hae never had any problems so im guessing that wouldnt cause it in under 4-5 hour time period.could it be anti phishing thing that microsoft has iin IE? i always have mine off
