nsane.forums
Adblock Plus for Android may sound too good to be true, but it works. It not only gets rid of banners, pop-ups, and video ads while you browse, it also kills those often annoying in-app ads. Released yesterday, Adblock Plus for Android offers a no-nonsense way to completely remove ads from your mobile computing experience. Simply download and install the app, and let it run behind the scenes. From there, you should notice that display ads, video ads, push notifications, and even many in-app ads are no more. So far, I've seen AdBlock Plus kill ads on several Web sites, including Google, and within the ad-supported Pandora app. According to its developers, though, AdBlock Plus does not work when browsing with Firefox for Android, since Firefox does not support Android's system proxy settings. Adblock Plus works right out of the box for nonrooted mobile devices running Android versions 3.1 or higher. Older versions of Android require you to manually configure proxy settings to get the app to work. With Adblock Plus for Android installed, Google responds to a search query and returns no ads or sponsored results. View: Original Article

x3r0
Takes 58MB RAM. :( I use AdAway - a different mechanism, but it does the job very good.

Though it requires root, its the most efficient adblocker for Android.

Rooting kills it for me. :( I rooted my SII after a week I bought it, and SIII a day after. I haven't had any issues with the phone, so its not an issue for me, though its always possible to reset the binary counters back to zero. :)

So I'm waiting for my warranty to end in May end.

Administrator DKT27 Posted November 28, 2012 Administrator Share Posted November 28, 2012 Check out if this will root your device http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460 My phone not in the list. :( There is only one way to root HTC One V, root it from HTC's official bootloader, which, in return, gives HTC the info that the phone is rooted. Means, warranty void. There is no unofficial method created for HTC One V, that allow unlocking the bootloader. There's only official, warranty voiding method available. MAXS
Correct, there is no method without voiding the waranty, and it's the rule for all phones I think :)
