I don't know about the labels, but I hide everything on the desktop to make it look empty and free of clutter.

(right-click an empty region on the desktop) >>> View >>> (un-tick/disable) show desktop icons

I know this method but I just want to hide the labels. Just installed a new program called "Fences". Inside it the labels look pretty odd to me.

One more combo <ALT+0160>. :)

Well, using these combos, only one file of a particular location can be blank named..after that it named (2) (3) (4) and on..

You could rename it and replace it with a space. :)

Only one can be done with this method..after that (2) (3) (4).........
