rudrax
Is there any hardware available to connect the SIM card with the PC? If yes then what is it? Other thing is, in order to support above hardware, is there any software available which can allow to make calls and receive/send SMS? If yes, then what is it? ck_kent
What about 3G/HSDPA/HSPA+ mobile broadband USB dongles such as Huawei, ZTE, D-Link, etc. There's a connection manager software that can be use not only to connect to the internet but also to send and receive SMS. ck_kent
You can still use the device to just send SMS even without using its internet. I'm not sure about voice calls though. But I have seen some connection managers with voice call option. :dunno:

I don't think that would work for what you want to achieve as that device doesn't have the ability to transmit/receive cellphone signals unlike the 3G dongles w/ built-in antenna. It can only read and write to the sim. It's just like having an SD card reader/writer wherein you can only read/write to the card.

I guess every computer meets the hardware requirement for transmitting business.

ck_kent
The software won't be enough. The device should have an embedded antenna to receive/transmit cellular signals.
