Well, I registered, but I cannot log into the site, even though I've entered my username & password, it keeps showing me an error saying that I haven't entered my username.

yeah, I also experienced lag on the site yesterday and it went down from time to time...guess they were under a ddos attack

I should've mentioned in my previous post, that I never actually got past the login page, as it kept giving me an error that my username wasn't entered.

Just an heads-up for those who're failing with the right answers - you need the site cookies to be enabled (at least, temporarily.) ;)

I registered just fine. It wouldn't let me pass the logon screen in either IE9, SWIron, or Pale Moon when it was up.

have you tried with opera, chrome or firefox?

Pale Moon is Firefox, and SWIron is Chrome.

I don't use Opera.

Well, it's finally back up, and it let me pass the login screen without giving me that stupid error!

I just saw this topic, and I can see a lot of questions being raised here about AppzNet so I will try to clear them out with some real answers.

Chief does not wish to keep his board "private" but he does expect to keep it clean and open for "genuine" members.

members try to register using fake/temp email id, and then hardly ever log in or contribute.

emails were sent out to all "genuine" contributors and "recognized elite members" about the new forum link and those who kept the option to "receive emails from administrator" got their invites.

as avmad has already mentioned earlier, old board was kept open for over a month and a topic specifically created for members who were not able to login or did not get the invite and still wanted to join. On their requests, invitations were sent out to all such members.

this was done only to clear off members with fake emails or non-contributors who do not find it worth to receive imp emails from administrators.

anyways, Chief has opened the board for public registrations a few days back. in case you have not been able to register, try now.

pls remember, that all those members trying to register with fake/temp email id will NOT be able to register. All registered email id are checked for fraud and defaulting id are deleted/banned permanently.

My simple advice:

If you really like being a member, use a real email id, and keep the option checked to receive emails from administrators.

and join not just to leech, but also to "Contribute"

zero posters and leeches are screened and removed every few days.

hope this clears all doubts around this issue.

We at nsane have a very lenient moderating team. We try to solve most conflicts without handing out warnings or banning people. Many other boards choose to operate in another way; they warn on first sight of any deviant behavior and ban the next time. We do it our way, they do it their way.
