I use Everything for a long time, excelent program. Appart from being (apparentely) abandonware, it still works prefectly and i don't have anything bad to say about it. It just works.

I've been using Agent Ransack, which is a free version of File Locator Pro. It's very fast and has all the features I need except one; exclusions.

Sometimes it takes more than a minute to search the disk, it gets a little stuck on the folder "winsxs". There's thousands of files there...

But that's on the first run, after that it takes 4 to 6 seconds to search!

Another fast program is Super Finder XT, also with no exclusions...

And another one I like is Quick Search from Glarysoft. It searches in the same way as Everything and it works very well!

By the way what version of Everything you guys use? Final or alpha? I want to give it a test run, and hopping to have no crashes. :P

I'm using the Alpha version of Everything. But you won't find it much different, it's basically the same, and solid as usual.

I tested every search software just today (thanks to you guys) and decided to keep everything :P
