I'm currently testing out Start8, doesn't seem that bad. I'll probably end up testing some others before I decide on one specific one. I am currently dual-booting my system between Win7 & Win8.

Start8

Not sure why but when using this it gives a black screen that loads very slow after the windows flag on boot-up.

Removed it and everything works fine.

Classic Shell

First one I used, Now back using, I don't seem to have a problem with this and booting up is fine.

Not sure why this is happening to you, Start8 is working fine on my system. A suggestion, try: StartIsBack.

I tried it on Win7 last week, it sucked, so I went back and used the default one.

Well, I haven't really tried this myself but I found this on youtube. Anyway, worth a try if you want the startmenu back without having to download another tool.

That was for the dev build, and from what I understand it doesn't work anymore, but I could be wrong.

Oh you may be right as I haven't tried it myself. I sort of like the way it is, just takes a little time to get used to it.

Great job done, mlauzon - IMO, the Start Menu is the one single-most factor that made me sustain a relationship with Windows 8 (it's that critical an element between yes and no.) :)

Please differentiate between Paid and FREE tools just by adding (P) and (F) to names. Use colors. It'll be more useful for everyone.

There's no essential different here for user/members between FREE and PAID as long as we had medicines :D

cheers

We have medicines but Totally FREE is different from Medicine-Activated. I don't need. But it'll be helpful for those who are on their way to "commercially FREE" products Or "commercially Paid" products.

I didn't suggest you. I suggested the thread-starter(mlauzon). Why are you making this simple suggestion to a debate?
