FENCES 2

Fences is a program that helps you organize your desktop and hide your icons when they're not in use.

It was a very great and FREE program, but started from fences2, it has already turn into a pay product.

So, I really hope anyhere can help up with this program, because when you try it, u will love it!

i think ehsan made a working trial reset for version 2.

Hi

please try this trial resetter(v1.0) and report back

http://d-h.st

sharecode: /XDr

1: Run as administrator the TR

2: Activate the trial version (you may need to restart Windows before activating new trial version)

It's working here(XP), IF doesn't work for you, I should get more general! :D (v1.1)

here it is. thanks to ehsan for the TR, enjoy

This is what the trial reset does...:

DEL /F /Q "%programdata%\Stardock\Registrations\Fences2Trial2240.bin"

You can make a batch file with it and load it at startup or just use the Trial Resetter at the startup.

This doesn't seem to work for the latest version though.

Use this version 2 instead:

site: http://www.mediafire.com/

sharecode: ?vdd73n7582fg9d3

Don't forget to activate Trial (30 days) after installing.

Doesn't work for me. My 30 days are up.

---------------------------

Fences

---------------------------

This machine has already been activated for a trial.

---------------------------

OK

---------------------------

Also, the installer just hangs and stops responding for some time then resumes. I used revounistaller to remove fences and tried pintas' exe.

Basicaly the latest version doesn't create %programdata%\Stardock\Registrations\Fences2Trial2240.bin. So the process to trial-reset would need to be different. I don't know if there are any more differences.

How is it working now?

I'm currently using this program and i really like how it organizes my desktop.

Thanks, but, didn't work... :(

Double-click on the desktop gives the following error message: "Your Fences trial has expired. To continue, please purchase Fences"

Please fix it...

Tested on Windows 7 Ultimate x86.

9000 trial days but can't enable Fences. Explorer keeps crashing. Win 7 x64.

---------------------------

Stardock Fences

---------------------------

Fences has detected that Explorer was not closed properly.

As a precaution, Fences has been temporarily disabled.

To re-enable Fences, right click your desktop and choose

"Enable Fences".

---------------------------

OK

It only works after Fences places a file in that location, for that you have to either reboot your computer or wait for a day.

You can search that folder for the file and see if its there.

Just add this:

DEL /F /Q "%programdata%\Stardock\Registrations\Fences2Trial2240.bin"

To a task and make it run every 30 days.

I'll try to do something better for this purpose....

activation trial is online, try do it offline.... :o uooooo!!!!

send machine SID, installation date and machine name.

https://services.stardock.net/apptrials/activate?AppID=2240&MachineSID=x-x-x-xx-xxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx&CPUName=xxx&TrialBeginDate=2012/11/20&format=html
