General Lee
Hey guys. :) I read the news that was posted on Nsane about Windows Live Messenger being replaced with Skype. I've always used Windows Live Messenger. I have never used Skype and it does not appeal to me. It's too much all packed into a program. Windows Live Messenger was simple. Now, with Windows Live Messenger, there was one feature I really liked. It was the ability to save your chat logs. I noticed that Skype has this too but, all of the chats are saved inside of Skype's program itself and I don't really understand that. Unlike Windows Live Messenger that provides you with two files when your log fills up. They are .xsl and .xml files. So, is there a program out there that is quite similar to Windows Live Messenger in that approach? I am looking to move over to that program from Windows Live Messenger if it indeed does get replaced with Skype. Any suggestions would be appriciated. Thanks. :)
Alanon
Try Miranda IM. I think I either had an addon, or it was natively supported. For me it was the opposite. I refused to use WLM, or Messenger since version 8, and now gladly accept Skype's Messenger.
