Partitioning a USB Flash Drive

I downloaded Lexar Boot It in order to flip removable bit. I clicked the button, removed the drive, then inserted the drive again. I thought this would make it so that I would be able to partition the drive, but it did not. I did not format the drive before this happened and I am using EaseUS Home Edition to easily partition the drive. So what should I do?

-Do I need to reformat the drive before I partition?

-Does EaseUS undo the operation performed by Lexar Boot It?

-Is there something else that I need to do in order to make this work?

I doing this because I have a 16 GB flash drive with Windows 7 installation on it, so the usb acts as a disc. However, the iso is only 4.3 GB, so I would rather not waste all 16 GB. I know what Boot It was meant to do but it doesn't appear to be doing this for my flash drive. I don't know if that's because I haven't formatted the drive or what. Any help would be appreciated.

What are you planning to put on the second partition. If its just files you can just create a folder on the root. I have a Windows 7 install on my flash as well and I have a 16gb. I have all the install files and then a foldr called "FLASH" and I have all my tools and other software programs I use in that folder.

I did not know that. I was going to put DriverPack Solution and offline updates on the other partition.

Oh well just create a folder and throw the files in the new folder. You shouldn't have any problems. After 50+ clean installs I haven't had any.

I tried to convert the drive from removable to local but I get the following error:

But I'm not trying to install a printer, of course.

Any idea how to fix this? I'm following these steps.
