O&O AutoBackup is the new program for quickly and automatically backing up selected files and folders on external media such as USB Stick, external USB hard disk, FireWire volume, etc. The advantage here is that you only have to make one configuration and then everything else is done automatically. As an example, you can use O&O Auto backup to create a backup copy of your photo folder onto a USB stick and set it so that changes made to the original data are automatically taken into account for the next backup.

O&O AutoBackup software offers there options of data copying:

  • Complete backup: Copies All data in the source data in a directory on the specified destination drive
  • Backup of the changes : All changed and new files/ directories are copied to the root directory of the destination drive, deleted source files/directories will not be deleted from the target disk.
  • Synchronization: Perform synchronization, i.e. update all changes and deletions. In contrast to “Backup of the changes”, deleted source files/directories are also deleted from the USB stick. After completion the USB stick is now a “mirror image” of the source data and/or directories.
Every time you connect the previously selected and configured external drive to your PC, the backup process will start automatically. Using the status bar icon and the status window in the program, you can see when the process is complete and simply remove the external drive at the end.
